Amishland

On Saturday we decided to take a horse and buggy ride through the country side of Shipshewana. Marissa was pretty excited since she loves horses! It was the perfect day to take a buggy ride. The sun was shining and we got lots of good pictures of the country but I will save those for another post! Here are a few pictures for now from our buggy ride.




Marissa and Madi got to ride in front and then half way through we switched and Austin and Makayla got to ride up front!

Myah went with us, although I have no pictures to prove it, I guess that is because she was sitting right next to the photographers. We did have to stop the buggy ride to go back and pick up a flip flop that fell off Myah's foot. I'm sure that wasn't the first time that happened.

From our home to yours....

Welcome to our home at Christmas. When I heard that Boomama was going to be having a Christmas Tour of Homes , I thought that sounded like so much fun because so many of our family and friends aren't able to make it out to visit us during the Christmas season. So here are a few pictures of our home decorated for Christmas. As you walk in our front door we have this little tree sitting in our entry way As you can see I really like snowman! This is leading into the family room... This tree is in our family room and it is decorated with all of our family ornaments. Each year we buy the girls an ornament that represents something from the year for that child. It is a tradition that I have continued from my childhood. My favorite ornaments are the ones that are homemade by the girls! This is our big tree that is more formally decorated and is in our living room. This is our third year with an artificial tree which is definitely less messy but we have had lots of fun with the pre-lite l

1 Year Later

Just the other day I was looking back at some of my posts and realized that I started our family blog 1 year ago this month. I can't believe it has already been a year. My first post was about celebrating the 4th of July at Mark and Jane's. On Friday we will be heading out to Mark and Jane's for another great 4th with our friends. I have really enjoyed keeping up with our family blog. I hope that you have also enjoyed reading each of my posts. My main reason for doing this blog was to keep in touch with our friends and family through various postings. I know that there are many of you who at one point or another have said to me that you have read our blog, I am just curious who is out there and reading this.
