Christmas with Nana & Papa

Image
This year my family all went to Missouri to spend Christmas with my grandma. It was kind of weird to think they were all together without me, but that was just the way it worked out. After Jeremy's family left Christmas night we opened our gifts from Nana & Papa. I thought I would share some pictures so my mom and dad could see since they weren't here. The girls were pretty excited to get new jammies for their American Girl dolls.... This was such a great movie, we have already watched it twice I think... Myah was so excited to get her new "hair salon" so far me and Molly, our dog, have gotten our hair done!

Christmas Day

Image
On Christmas we spent the day with Jeremy's family. We had a very nice day and the weather was beautiful! I really enjoy getting to fix food and have the family all over. So after everyone was stuffed from lunch, we exchanged gifts. The kids opened their gifts first and then the adults opened their gifts. This was taken before the kaosis began Aunt Duffy got this for the girls, they were pretty excited. I'm pretty sure it is half gone. The girls have had a few friends over and since you don't have to put any pennies in their they keep helping themselves. Oh well its fun! Makayla playing with her pixo's.... Myah playing with her aqua doodle..... Great-grandma with the girls.... The bad thing about our new camera is it is hard for anyone else to take pictures with it, plus the battery was dying on our flash, so this will have to be our family picture for Christmas this year!

Christmas Morning

Here are the girls on Christmas morning in their matching jammies that they got the night before. My mom use to always take pictures of me and my sister on Christmas morning in front of the tree, I suppose that is why I do that now. I thought for a second maybe I could post one of those pictures of me and my sister, but honestly once we hit the teenage years, I know how much I hated those pictures, early in the morning no make-up and my hair was not done, not good. Believe it or not, we had to wake the girls up so that we could go and open presents, maybe that was because at 11pm little Miss Myah was still awake. I told her she had to go to sleep so Santa could come to our house. Before we opened our gifts we finished reading our story, Jotham's Journey. Then each girl took turns opening their gifts, they were all so excited to see what the other one got. It was very enjoyable! Yes....we did stockings this year, due to a little pressure from some friends. Actually it was ki

Christmas Eve

Image
One of our traditions on Christmas Eve is for the girls to get a new pair of pj's. So after we get home from church they get to open their gift and then get ready for bed. I can't remember when we started this tradition, but the girls now know that they get new jammies on Christmas Eve, and look forward to it! Jeremy reading our story Jotham's Journey

Sleep Over

Image
Marissa went to a friends house the other night for a sleep over, well since Makayla was going to be all alone she wanted to know if Myah could sleep in bed with her, so we decided to let her. Well the next night the girls decided that would be fun for all 3 of them to sleep together in one twin size bed. So we said okay, but this is the last night. So they did they all slept together. It took them a little while to fall asleep but once they did they slept all night long and didn't even get up all that early. It is so fun to have girls, I just hope they always stay close together!

Thank you!

Just the other day the doorbell rang and I saw that their was a box sitting in front of my door. The box looked bigger than what I was waiting for and when we got it inside the girls were so excited to see what it was. It was a box of gifts from my friend Vicki! It was fun to go through and the girls could not wait to open their gifts. They each got a new book and we have already read each one! Jeremy and I got a basket full of yummy goodies for a breakfast in bed. Thanks so much Vicki for your gifts, that was very kind of you, it made our day!!!!

Molly is 2

Image
Hey - when you have your own blog you can post about whatever you want. So yes this is a post about our favorite dog Molly who is now 2. The girls were pretty upset that last year we did not celebrate Molly's birthday so this year we stepped it up a notch.....we made her a little dogie size pancake just for her. The girls even sang happy birthday to her and wanted to put a candle in the pancake, which we did not. She is a pretty good dog and we are glad to have her as part of the family!

Snow Day

Image
Last week we actually had two snow days with cancelled school. We kind of knew it was coming so I headed out to Walmart the night before and bought some things to make a few different cookies! I figured if we are going to be snowed in then let's bake some cookies! The girls both had a friend over so there was plenty of help to shovel the driveway and bake the cookies, right!!! I think it took me 10.5 hours to get 5 girls dressed to go and play in the snow then I am pretty certain we were only out there for a total of 5 minutes before Makayla decided she was too cold and wanted to come back in. You've got to be kidding me! So needless to say I think it took us longer to get dressed then we actually stayed outside. After we got back in, I made hot chocolate for everyone and then that afternoon we got busy making some cookies. It really was a fun day!

Gingerbread House

Image
For the past few years, Grammy has been making a gingerbread house with the girls. The girls look forward to doing this with her. Here are a few pictures of our gingerbread house.....I think our house lasted 1 day, not because it feel apart, but because the girls were ready to eat it and the only reason it lasted that long is because we had to leave the house that night. So the next day when we got back over to the house the girls were ready to eat it. I don't know how they can eat all of that sugar but they seemed to enjoy it! It was making me sick watching and I love sweets! No....they didn't eat the whole thing, I'm not sure they even could have.

Grandparents are Special

Image
On Saturday while we were home for Thanksgiving my Grandparents and Aunt and Uncle all came over to my parents house to visit for the day. It was nice to get to see everyone, it seems as though we only get to see each other about once a year. And yes....we did take some pictures, not sure there is ever a time when my family is all together and we don't take pictures. Not that I am complaining, I love being able to look at these pictures when I am back home away from my family! The kids were being so silly....they decided to dress each other up with the baby doll clothes that my mom had along with a few dress up clothes.

Santa Claus

Image
For family night tonight we took the girls to see Santa. No my camera lens is not dirty its snowing! It was actually a really pretty night to be out, although it was a little cold. I was pretty proud of my girls when Santa asked what they wanted they really didn't come up with this big huge list like the kid before us who asked for a Wii, X box, PS3 and $2000.00. WOW. I do need a little help, Marissa asked for Bendies, something that bends and then you can stretch them back out, have no clue what those are. Makayla didn't have anything to ask Santa for, she hasn't had any suggestions for us at all this year and Myah asked for a baby doll and a hair dressing set (blow dryer)....she'll be pretty happy with nana & papa's gift. Here is the house where we go to see Santa at. It is right on the square and everything is decorated downtown, it all looks so pretty especially with the snow!
