Merry Christmas!

Image
Well I know that this is a little late, but i wanted to be sure to post some pictures from our day. We had a great day!!! I had been praying for good weather and safe traveling for everyone and it really was the perfect day. Thank you so much to all of our family for traveling out, just for the day, to spend Christmas with us we had so much fun!! It really meant a lot to us! Here is the note the girls left Santa, notice that they left him Mountain Dew, Daddy though that would give him an extra boost to get through the night. Every year on Christmas Eve the girls get new jammie, so here is a picture of the girls on Christmas Morning in their new matching jammies. We took pictures before lunch, which worked out better than before gifts! Here is my sister and her family, the girls were so excited to have their cousins here! Here is my mom and dad with all the kids! Here are the girls with Jeremy's parents! This is Jeremy's Grandma, all the way here from Arkansas. We were all reall

Last year, Jeremy's mom found a cute dress for Myah and knowing how much I love when my girls all match, she decided she would make a dress for the other 2 to wear so that all 3 girls would match for Christmas. Everyone loved the girls dresses at church today, they were all so cute! Thanks so much for making their dresses!

Glinski's Visit

Image
Our friends The Glinski's came out to visit for a couple of days. The time flew by, but we had a great time catching up with them and the kids all had a blast playing together. Here are a few pictures from their stay. I couldn't figure out why first thing in the morning their kids were asking to go and play outside, then it dawned on me they don't have any snow right now in Virginia. M & M are only a few months apart! They built a girl and boy snowman that afternoon! and when they came in from playing outside they had some hot chocolate! Even Molly had a friend, Jake...they actually got along well, I'm not sure what Molly actually thought about her new friend she just followed him around! When they weren't outside they were inside playing Wii Group photo....smile Thanks for coming to visit, it was great to see you guys!

From our home to yours....

Welcome to our home at Christmas. When I heard that Boomama was going to be having a Christmas Tour of Homes , I thought that sounded like so much fun because so many of our family and friends aren't able to make it out to visit us during the Christmas season. So here are a few pictures of our home decorated for Christmas. As you walk in our front door we have this little tree sitting in our entry way As you can see I really like snowman! This is leading into the family room... This tree is in our family room and it is decorated with all of our family ornaments. Each year we buy the girls an ornament that represents something from the year for that child. It is a tradition that I have continued from my childhood. My favorite ornaments are the ones that are homemade by the girls! This is our big tree that is more formally decorated and is in our living room. This is our third year with an artificial tree which is definitely less messy but we have had lots of fun with the pre-lite l

Winter Wonderland

It seems really weird that today is Sunday and we have been home all day and no one is even sick. Due to the ice storm we had today, they had to cancel church this morning. We weren't able to go and worship God at church today, but you can see Him all over when you look outside. The scenery is beautiful! I tried to get a few pictures. (This is when i wish i had a little nice camera) Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good His love endures forever. I give thanks to You, the God of gods. Your love endures forever. I give thanks to You, the Lord of lords: Your love endures forever. to You who alone does great wonders, Your love endures forever. who by Your understanding made the heavens, Your love endures forever. who spread out the earth upon the waters, Your love endures forever. I give thanks to You the God of heaven. Psalm 136:1-6; 26

Ho Ho Ho

A few nights ago, I took the girls to see Santa at our local library during their Christmas party. The place was packed, they had several different crafts for the kids to do while waiting to see Santa, they even played a Christmas movie for the kids to watch. The girls got to see santa for a quick second, didn't want to take too much time since there were so many people all waiting to see the big star of the night. We did manage to get a picture with Santa and tell him what they each wanted. I guess time will tell if they have been bad or good and whether they get what they want.

Soup-Tacular

This is one of my favorite soups, it really makes a lot and freezes well if need be. It is a very easy soup to make all you need to do is mix everything together and put it in the crockpot for dinner. I have to say this recipe came from my good friend Vicki, so I can't claim it as my own. You can head over to BooMama for more soup-tacular recipes. I hope that you enjoy! Chicken Tortilla Soup 2 cans of cream of mushroom 2 cans cream of chicken 2 cans cream of celery 2 cans cheddar cheese soup 2 15 oz. diced tomatoes 1 cup pace medium picante salsa 1 4 1/2 oz. can green chilies 1 mdium onion chopped 4 cloves fresh garlic minced 1 t. red chili powder salt and pepper to taste 1/2 cup fresh chopped cilantro 4 cooked chicken breat cut into small chunks ( you can use 1 lg. can of chicken to save time) 1 package flour tortillas 1/2 lb. longhorn style Colby cheese Combine and whisk together the 8 cans of soup. I was trying to get a "perfect" picture of the girls tonight to send out on our Christmas cards.....anyways, just thought these were cute, and they did this on their own with no prompting from mom! Too sweet!

Snow Day

Image
Yesterday the forecast was calling for snow, so I thought I better check and see if the girls have any snow boots that fit them, well....luckily I went to WalMart last night and picked out boots for the 2 older girls because this morning when we woke-up there was a blanket of snow out, it was very pretty! The girls had a 2 hour delay this morning so after everyone finally woke-up we headed out to shovel the driveway. Then we came back inside for a cup of hot chocolate. Finished that just in time for Marissa to get to school. After school we headed back outside so the girls could play in the snow and I could get some pictures. I think everyone had fun! I don't know about you, but the the older I get the colder it feels outside, I thought I use to be able to stay outside for hours, not anymore, I was ready to be back inside in about 15 mins. Here are a few pictures from out time out in the snow!
