Swim Team

Image
Since the first week in June we have been having swimming every day. The girls go Monday through Friday. Makayla's group goes from 10:45-12:15 and Marissa's group goes from 11:00-11:45. This is why we have been so busy, plus throw in a few t-ball games in the morning before we even head to the pool to swim. It has been really good for the girls and I think they both have really enjoyed getting to swim. Marissa is actually on the 8 and unders swim team. She wasn't sure that she really wanted to compete in any of the meets at first. So one night we took her to a meet so she could watch everyone and see what they are all about, which was also good for mom and dad to see what all goes on because we had no clue. So after watching one of the meets she decided maybe she would try one and she did and did a great job!! Since this was her first meet her coach put her in an exhibition race that way she wouldn't get disqualified if she touched the side or didn't do the stroke j

T-ball

So if you are wondering how our summer is going, I have two words for you......too fast! These girls are keeping us busy with t-ball and swimming and friends. The good thing is there isn't a lot of time for anyone to say we are bored or be watching too much TV. This is Makayla's 2nd year in t-ball. She really does seem to enjoy playing and has improved quite a bit from last year. She has several kids on the team that we go to church with, so it has been nice for me to have other moms/friends to sit and visit with while watching all of these t-ball games. I know one day we will be doing all of this for Myah, but for know she is just the big cheerleader for her sisters, going to all of their sporting events. I'm learning with my new camera I just seem to take even more pictures, didn't know that was possible. I am sure I had over 50 pictures just from t-ball and there probably more like 100. I'm starting to feel a little overwhelmed with all of these pictures w

Happy Anniversary!

It's hard to believe that 12 years ago today this man and this woman became husband and wife! I think back to then and how much we thought we knew and how much we have learned and still have to learn. I have enjoyed getting to know my husband and love my husband more and more everyday! Don't get me wrong marriage is hard work but I have enjoyed seeing how God is at work in our marriage and our ministry. Sometimes I think, can it really be 12 years, and then I think, it seems like it should be longer, God has really done a lot with the two of us in those 12 years.....let's see..... there have been countless missions trips, road rallies, lock-ins and vacations and don't forget Jeremy was in school while working at the church. Then we decided to start our family, that changed the both of us for sure!!! So then there were a number of sleepless nights, diaper changes, and late night feedings. Fast forward a couple of years and God blessed us with baby number 2 and ju

Our Weekend

Image
This weekend Jeremy's parents came in town. On Friday we were hoping to take them to see the girls swim but swim practice was canceled because of the weather. So later that day after the weather cleared up Jeremy and his dad went golfing while us girls went shopping. Then that night after dinner the grandparents took the girls to their hotel for the night and kept them all day on Saturday for us and again on Saturday night so Jeremy and I could get away by ourselves. The weather was perfect this weekend! We had a great time enjoying the nice weather while shopping and we were even able to have a couple of nice meals together where we were able to finish conversations and thoughts without having to be interrupted by little ones who needed their food cut or someone needing to go potty. It was very nice and we enjoyed the time together! It was really weird to wake-up this morning and not have 3 little ones to get ready for church, I know that was a first in 8 years since I have

Our friends in Indy

Image
Last weekend me and Myah and Makayla headed out to Indy for a quick trip to see our friends. We decided that Marissa should stay at home so she didn't miss any swim practice. I am so glad that I was finally able to meet little Cassie. She is such a cutie and a good baby! The kids all had fun playing together while Vicki and I enjoyed catching up with each other! Our trip was much to short, but I was glad that we were able to go. Hopefully we will be able to get together again sometime this summer! Myah keeps asking me, even before we went out to Indy, when does she get to be a big sister, I think she would be a great big sister, but I'm pretty sure that won't be happening anytime soon! Vicki took us to Avon Perennial Gardens which was a beautiful place to take pictures. The kids did pretty good considering it was pretty hot and muggy out!

This is from the girls' first day of school this year.....can't believe how time flies! First day of school - August 2007 Makayla's class took a picnic lunch at the park on her last day of school.....here is a group picture of her class. Makayla's last day of school..... This was taken in front of Marissa's school Last day of school - June 2008 It has been a busy week with all of the end of the year school activities and all of the summer sports starting we have been running a lot! Not to mention all of the High School open houses we have been to. Makayla is looking forward to starting t-ball next week. Both girls are also doing swimming. Marissa is on the swim team and Makayla is doing a cubs program she will also be able to participate in one meet that they have for all of those kids who are in cubs. I'm sure there will be lots more pictures of all of that to come. Have a great summer!

Kindergarten Graduation!

Image
This week was the last week of school for the girls. So Makayla has no officially graduated from kindergarten. Here are a few pictures from her program. I have been wanting to post these all week, but we have had a very busy week! Lots going on!! Once the curtain opened the kids all started looking for their parents and waving as you can see. We could tell that Makayla could not find us.....she looked and looked and they even sang a couple of songs and she was still looking, I felt so bad I could tell she was starting to wonder where we were.....so finally Jeremy stood up and waved and then she got a big grin, she had finally found us! Their shirts were so cute this year, they each got to write their own name and then draw a face, so on her shirt are the names of all of her classmates. Marissa was in school so she wasn't able to come and watch the program, but Myah was pretty excited to be there! Here is Makayla with her Kindergarten teacher. Here are a few of her frie
