Honduras

In 48 hours Jeremy will be taking off with 28 students and 6 adults to Honduras for 10 days. While they are there they will be hosting a series of 1 day VBS programs to over 600 kids, building bunk beds and various other things that are needed. While they are there he is hoping to post on his blog so if you want to follow the blog you can go to www.godeepblog.com . We appreciate your prayers for this group as they travel. I know that God is going to do big things through each of them as they are being the hands and feet of Jesus to the people in Honduras!

Pool Time

Image
The first thing the girls wanted to do this morning, after breakfast, was go swimming. Since they got up this morning at 6:30am, they were out in the pool by 9. I'm hoping tomorrow morning will come a little later!! Today was a good day to be in the pool because it was so hot out! I think the girls had fun as you can see from these pictures...... In case you are wondering where Makayla is.....she had some special time with daddy. Her and Jeremy ran errands and then had a special treat at McDonald's.

House Guest

Last night we met my mom and sister and niece and nephew for dinner at Pizza Hut. It was a nice treat to have dinner out with my family, since that doesn't happen very often. After dinner we headed home with Madi for a few days. The girls were so excited to have their cousin here to stay with them. Although this time it is a little busy around here with packing and getting Jeremy ready for a 10 day missions trip to Honduras and us going home, I think the girls are still having fun even if we don't have lots of things planned. When we pulled up in the driveway last night, Marissa was jumping up and down and waving, she had to stay home because she had practice at church for KidStuf. I didn't mention to her that we were also going to see Nana, because I knew she would had been really sad about not getting to go. As soon as we got home her and Madi ran to each other and gave big hugs!!! Here are a few pictures from last night...... Austin....we miss you, so far the girl

She did it!

A few weeks ago, I was scrap booking some pictures, that were only a couple of years old, but anyways they were of Marissa at this age learning to ride her bike and so I started thinking we need to work on this with Makayla. It was something I knew I wanted to do this summer but with all the other things going on we just hadn't started yet. So a couple of weeks ago we got her out and tried working on this, it was awful. She screamed and screamed that she did not want to do this. I was afraid my neighbors were all looking out their windows wondering what we were doing to her, so I just sat there with my camera smiling away. Finally we decided maybe we would try again the next night. So this time we headed up to the church to ride in the parking lot. That way there were no cars and no people nearby to hear her screaming. She did better that night but was still crying even when she was doing it right she would cry. We told her this is suppose to be fun, isn't this fun???? She didn

Mini Meet

Image
This past Friday, Makayla had a mini meet. She was so excited to have her own swim meet since she has already seen how this all works with her sister. It was a hot sunny day, so the kids were all very glad to get in the pool and swim! She did a great job and we are very proud of her! Both girls have done so well with swimming this year, they have really improved their skills since the beginning of the season. I know they can both swim better than their mom, which is good to know! Myah and her friends cheering on their siblings! Go Makayla Go!!! Good job! She loves to jump off the diving board, she doesn't take after her mom with that!! Here are all of the cubs......Makayla said she is ready to do swim team next year....I guess we will have to wait and see what next season holds. It was a busy, but fun 6 weeks up at the pool! I'm glad we did it!

Fun Night at the pool

Image
The swim team had a fun night at the pool a couple of weeks ago. They split everyone up into teams and then had different silly relays. Marissa had lots of fun! Here is a picture of Marissa's team..... Jumping off the diving board.... Who can go down the slide the fastest??? Swimming a lap with some extra clothes on..... The kids were all looking forward to this part of the night....creaming the coaches..... As you can see it was a very fun night!

4th of July at the Lake

Image
Well we had another great 4th this year out at the lake. The weather was absolutely beautiful! We didn't have to worry about rain at all this year! Thanks again Mark and Jane for hosting a great 4th, we had a blast and look forward to doing it again next year! I'm hoping that next year one of us will remember to take a group picture. With all of those cameras there we never seem to remember to take a picture of all of us. Can you believe that pile of fireworks, this is what the guys get all excited about! Those are very big fireworks! Swimming in the lake....the girls couldn't wait to get there and get in the lake.. Even Myah had fun in the lake..... The 4th isn't the 4th without some sparklers, even I got to play with sparklers as a kid and my parents never bought fireworks. The girls were wanting to go out on the paddle boat so Jeremy decided he would tie the paddle boat to the end of the pier, the girls had fun while us adults sat nearby and had a little adult conv
