4th of July at the Lake

Well we had another great 4th this year out at the lake. The weather was absolutely beautiful! We didn't have to worry about rain at all this year! Thanks again Mark and Jane for hosting a great 4th, we had a blast and look forward to doing it again next year!




I'm hoping that next year one of us will remember to take a group picture. With all of those cameras there we never seem to remember to take a picture of all of us.




Can you believe that pile of fireworks, this is what the guys get all excited about!

Swimming in the lake....the girls couldn't wait to get there and get in the lake..

Even Myah had fun in the lake.....





The 4th isn't the 4th without some sparklers, even I got to play with sparklers as a kid and my parents never bought fireworks.





The girls were wanting to go out on the paddle boat so Jeremy decided he would tie the paddle boat to the end of the pier, the girls had fun while us adults sat nearby and had a little adult conversation, it was a win win for everyone!





Each of the girls got to take a turn driving the boat, they thought that was pretty cool!

From our home to yours....

Welcome to our home at Christmas. When I heard that Boomama was going to be having a Christmas Tour of Homes , I thought that sounded like so much fun because so many of our family and friends aren't able to make it out to visit us during the Christmas season. So here are a few pictures of our home decorated for Christmas. As you walk in our front door we have this little tree sitting in our entry way As you can see I really like snowman! This is leading into the family room... This tree is in our family room and it is decorated with all of our family ornaments. Each year we buy the girls an ornament that represents something from the year for that child. It is a tradition that I have continued from my childhood. My favorite ornaments are the ones that are homemade by the girls! This is our big tree that is more formally decorated and is in our living room. This is our third year with an artificial tree which is definitely less messy but we have had lots of fun with the pre-lite l

1 Year Later

Just the other day I was looking back at some of my posts and realized that I started our family blog 1 year ago this month. I can't believe it has already been a year. My first post was about celebrating the 4th of July at Mark and Jane's. On Friday we will be heading out to Mark and Jane's for another great 4th with our friends. I have really enjoyed keeping up with our family blog. I hope that you have also enjoyed reading each of my posts. My main reason for doing this blog was to keep in touch with our friends and family through various postings. I know that there are many of you who at one point or another have said to me that you have read our blog, I am just curious who is out there and reading this.
