Mini Meet

This past Friday, Makayla had a mini meet. She was so excited to have her own swim meet since she has already seen how this all works with her sister. It was a hot sunny day, so the kids were all very glad to get in the pool and swim!



She did a great job and we are very proud of her! Both girls have done so well with swimming this year, they have really improved their skills since the beginning of the season. I know they can both swim better than their mom, which is good to know!

She loves to jump off the diving board, she doesn't take after her mom with that!!




Here are all of the cubs......Makayla said she is ready to do swim team next year....I guess we will have to wait and see what next season holds. It was a busy, but fun 6 weeks up at the pool! I'm glad we did it!

You are always saying how much there is to do in Indy, but one thing I know that is not available to us is swim team for kids as young as yours. I have loved reading about the girls and it sounds like they have done a great job. I really wish we had something like that for my kids here. Great job girls!

From our home to yours....

Welcome to our home at Christmas. When I heard that Boomama was going to be having a Christmas Tour of Homes , I thought that sounded like so much fun because so many of our family and friends aren't able to make it out to visit us during the Christmas season. So here are a few pictures of our home decorated for Christmas. As you walk in our front door we have this little tree sitting in our entry way As you can see I really like snowman! This is leading into the family room... This tree is in our family room and it is decorated with all of our family ornaments. Each year we buy the girls an ornament that represents something from the year for that child. It is a tradition that I have continued from my childhood. My favorite ornaments are the ones that are homemade by the girls! This is our big tree that is more formally decorated and is in our living room. 1 Year Later

Just the other day I was looking back at some of my posts and realized that I started our family blog 1 year ago this month. I can't believe it has already been a year. My first post was about celebrating the 4th of July at Mark and Jane's. On Friday we will be heading out to Mark and Jane's for another great 4th with our friends. I have really enjoyed keeping up with our family blog. I hope that you have also enjoyed reading each of my posts. My main reason for doing this blog was to keep in touch with our friends and family through various postings.
