Thank you!

Thirty three years ago this little girl was born to first time parents Daryl and Connie. I can only imagine what emotions they must of had to be first time parents with this little bundle of joy that God had blessed them with. I'm sure they were excited and nervous all at the same time. I guess I have a better picture of how they might had felt then now that I have three girls of my own. I wonder what hopes and dreams they had for their little girl. I am so thankful that God gave me to my parents. I am sure there were times that I brought them joy and I am sure there were many trials there too (especially during those teenage years). But, now as I am an adult and a parent I am blessed by them. I enjoy seeing them spend time as Nana & Papa with my girls. Just taking that time to invest in my kids lives. I am thankful that they taught me what it means to have a real relationship with Christ so that I can pass that along to my girls. I am also thankful for the many traditions that

Nana & Papa

Nana & Papa came out to visit us today. It always seems like our visits are way to short but we were glad to have them here! The girls were really excited to see them. I think as soon as they got here Myah asked Nana to play barbies with her. That seems to be her favorite thing to do right now! After lunch, the guys played a little Tiger Woods on the Wii, I won't mention who won that! (Sorry dad) Nana and the girls played barbies. Then we had to show them Guitar Hero. The girls like to try and play, of course there are only a few songs and a few characters that they can even use on it. Jeremy and I like to play that after the girls go to bed and yes it is addicting even for me! The girls put on a puppet show for me and Nana. We had some cake and opened gifts!! Thanks for the gifts mom and dad!! Thanks for coming out, we enjoy spending the day with you! Here is Papa helping Makayla play Guitar Hero..... Time for a show..... Me & my girls!

Okay....I don't have pictures of the other 2 girls for their first dentist appointments but since I actually had my camera with me and the dental hygienist asked me if I had my camera, I decided to take a couple of pictures. Myah did very good sitting still while she had her teeth cleaned. We had an appointment for all 5 of us, I think we were at the dentist office for over 3 hours, I'm pretty sure we won't do that again! The girls are doing a great job brushing and we had a good report of no cavities, just what mom wanted to hear!

Mary Todd Lincoln

On Friday Marissa's school had Lincoln day. Although it was a little strange to us that they celebrated Lincoln's life on George Washington's birthday. Anyways, the boys were asked to dress up like Abe Lincoln and the girls like Mary Todd Lincoln. Thank you to our good friends who let us borrow the outfit. Since it was a few sizes to big, after about 40 or so safety pins we made it work! Marissa was very excited about dressing up for school.

Happy Valentine's Day

The girls had a great day at school today with their Valentine's Day parties! This year Marissa had to decorate a box for her valentine cards - there were even prizes to see who had the best decorated box, I think there should have been prizes for the parents too. I guess all that hard work payed off because she got 1st place!! She was so excited!!! Here is a picture of her with her valentine box. This became a family project and her sisters even helped. Of course we didn't start this project until around 7pm - 2 hours later we were finally finished! For Valentine's Day the girls each got a Webkinz from us. They were so excited! Myah said right away she was going to name her's Easton after her bestest friend. Makayla wanted to name her's Morgan after her friend Morgan who also has the same horse. Marissa has fallen in love with horses after seeing the movie Flicka , so she wanted to name her horse Flicka. This morning we enjoyed dohnuts for breakfast with daddy be

Sick Day turns into Snow Day

Image
I think that Marissa is feeling better now, but we still decided to keep her home 1 more day to be sure. So since it was so nice out I thought I would let the girls go out and play in the snow for a little bit before it warms up and all the snow melts. So here are a few pictures of the girls trying to build a snowlady! Marissa got a really big ball going, it got so big it was really hard to push..... 1-2-3- PUSH...... And here she is the finished project! She is loooking a little bit more like a snow clown, but that's what happens when you use food coloring. The girls didn't seem to mind they were pretty proud of her. The funny thing is, we have our snowlady on our patio outside by our sliding door in our family room , and the dog keeps seeing her and barking at her, she's such a protective dog, maybe I should get a sign to hang on the fence that says "Beware of Barking Dog"!

Snow Day

Image
This past Friday we had a snow day at our house. The weather was predicting a lot more snow then we actually got, but we did end up with 5 inches which lead to no school. I was so anxious to go out and play in the snow and can you believe it I only had 1 taker who wanted to go out with me can you guess who it was? Was it Makayla....Nope Was it Marissa.....nope Can you tell by this picture....she was sick? Myah wanted to go out and play with mommy....and we had fun! She got to do all the things she wanted without anyone telling her what to do.... Here is our attempt at making a snowman, the snow wasn't so good for packing, but we had fun anyways! So every kid wants to eat some snow, but now that we have a dog, there were some specific directions given as to where you can eat the snow from and stay away from any yellow snow, gross I know! She's always smiling..... Snow angels..... WoW....that was fast, how did you get the driveway shoveled off so fast, oh yes...it was the nice ne
