Happy April Fool's Day!

While some of you may be busy playing practical jokes on your family and friends, I like to remember this date for another reason. Thirteen years ago today, my husband, who has such a sense of humor, picked April 1st as the day he would ask me to marry him. Later when someone asked him why he picked April 1st, he said that way if I would had told him No, he could have just played it all off as a joke. Now if only I was thinking quick enough, I could have went along with the theme of the day and told him No just for fun. It's hard to believe this June we will be married for 12 years! He is a great guy and I am so thankful for him! God has definitely blessed us in many ways!


I can't believe I am even putting this picture on here....this is our engagement picture, I have to admit, this was never my favorite picture. We both had worked all day and then after work went to get our pictures taken on top of it all it was raining out which is why I suppose my hair looks like it does. Don't we look so young!
By the way....no April fooling...that is really us!

From our home to yours....

Welcome to our home at Christmas. When I heard that Boomama was going to be having a Christmas Tour of Homes , I thought that sounded like so much fun because so many of our family and friends aren't able to make it out to visit us during the Christmas season. So here are a few pictures of our home decorated for Christmas. As you walk in our front door we have this little tree sitting in our entry way As you can see I really like snowman! This is leading into the family room... This tree is in our family room and it is decorated with all of our family ornaments. Each year we buy the girls an ornament that represents something from the year for that child. It is a tradition that I have continued from my childhood. My favorite ornaments are the ones that are homemade by the girls! This is our big tree that is more formally decorated and is in our living room. 1 Year Later

Just the other day I was looking back at some of my posts and realized that I started our family blog 1 year ago this month. I can't believe it has already been a year. My first post was about celebrating the 4th of July at Mark and Jane's. On Friday we will be heading out to Mark and Jane's for another great 4th with our friends. I have really enjoyed keeping up with our family blog. I hope that you have also enjoyed reading each of my posts. My main reason for doing this blog was to keep in touch with our friends and family through various postings.
