Marissa's Baptism

About two years ago or so, Marissa really started to ask a lot of questions about what it means to have a relationship with God. She was asking lots of good questions! Then one night after dinner about a year ago, she said that she wanted to officially make the decision to ask Jesus in her life, so I got to pray with her. Jeremy was actually out of town for a conference but we called him as soon as we finished praying.

We are so proud of you Marissa! This is the best decision you can make. We are praying that God will use you and that you will have a boldness and courage not because of WHO you are but because of WHOSE you are....a daughter of the King Most High!

It was a very special moment to have her dad get to baptize her!





We were thankful that our family was able to make it out to be a part of this special day!

From our home to yours....

Welcome to our home at Christmas. When I heard that Boomama was going to be having a Christmas Tour of Homes , I thought that sounded like so much fun because so many of our family and friends aren't able to make it out to visit us during the Christmas season. So here are a few pictures of our home decorated for Christmas. As you walk in our front door we have this little tree sitting in our entry way As you can see I really like snowman! This is leading into the family room... This tree is in our family room and it is decorated with all of our family ornaments. Each year we buy the girls an ornament that represents something from the year for that child. It is a tradition that I have continued from my childhood. My favorite ornaments are the ones that are homemade by the girls! This is our big tree that is more formally decorated and is in our living room. This is our third year with an artificial tree which is definitely less messy but we have had lots of fun with the pre-lite l

1 Year Later

Just the other day I was looking back at some of my posts and realized that I started our family blog 1 year ago this month. I can't believe it has already been a year. My first post was about celebrating the 4th of July at Mark and Jane's. On Friday we will be heading out to Mark and Jane's for another great 4th with our friends. I have really enjoyed keeping up with our family blog. I hope that you have also enjoyed reading each of my posts. My main reason for doing this blog was to keep in touch with our friends and family through various postings.
