My Forever Valentine's

This past Valentine's Day our plans changed several different times and I was a little disappointed, but in the end I realized that I got to spend the day with my 4 favorite people, my girls and my hubby! Usually for Valentine's Day I like to plan a special menu and then have the girls help me decorate the table and get out the candles, but this year we ordered pizza and then we enjoyed the chocolate fountain. This was definitely the highlight of our evening. We had strawberries, bananas, graham stick, pretzels, pound cake, marshmallows and cookies to dip in our chocolate. It was very yummy!


Each of the girls wanted to take a picture of us, this one Myah actually took, pretty good!

In case you were wondering what is all over Myah's face.....that afternoon the girls were putting on some tattoo's they got from their Valentine parties at school. Good thing they washed off before church the next day.

I'd just like to know one thing: HOW could there be ANY disappointment when a CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN is involved? :-)

From our home to yours....

Welcome to our home at Christmas. When I heard that Boomama was going to be having a Christmas Tour of Homes , I thought that sounded like so much fun because so many of our family and friends aren't able to make it out to visit us during the Christmas season. So here are a few pictures of our home decorated for Christmas. As you walk in our front door we have this little tree sitting in our entry way As you can see I really like snowman! This is leading into the family room... This tree is in our family room and it is decorated with all of our family ornaments. Each year we buy the girls an ornament that represents something from the year for that child. It is a tradition that I have continued from my childhood. My favorite ornaments are the ones that are homemade by the girls! This is our big tree that is more formally decorated and is in our living room. 1 Year Later

Just the other day I was looking back at some of my posts and realized that I started our family blog 1 year ago this month. I can't believe it has already been a year. My first post was about celebrating the 4th of July at Mark and Jane's. On Friday we will be heading out to Mark and Jane's for another great 4th with our friends. I have really enjoyed keeping up with our family blog. I hope that you have also enjoyed reading each of my posts. My main reason for doing this blog was to keep in touch with our friends and family through various postings.
