Vacation at the Lake!

There is nothing like a little rest and relaxation at the lake. We are very thankful to our friends who offered us their home for the week!! It was so peaceful there, we had such a great time. We ate all of our meals outside by the lake enjoy the beauty of God surrounding us! We were able to rest and catch up on some reading and just enjoy our time together with our family! We also were able to enjoy our time up there with some friends.
We have now been home for almost 3 weeks and school is back in session which means we are also busy with soccer and youth group. I meant to post our pictures as soon as we got home from vacation, but we got so busy with getting ready for school I guess time just got away from me. Believe it or not we took over 800 pictures on vacation, how crazy is that. Of course there were a lot that got deleted but still, it takes a while to go through that many pictures!
This is why I am only half way through my book, I had to wait for Jeremy to finish it first and now that we are home it seems a lot harder to find time to sit and read.

The girls had fun going on the jet ski with their dad.....I did manage to take myself out on it a couple times around the lake, it was actually pretty fun, once I wasn't so scared of it!

Just wonder what those two are talking about out there........

One afternoon we headed to the local college that had a beautiful Arboretum, we got some great pictures!! Thanks April for the suggestion!

I know i know Kelly....we don't match, we weren't planning on taking a family picture but we found the perfect spot, so we decided that it would drive me crazy to have a picture hanging in my living room without us at least being somewhat color coordinated, so we headed back on a different day to take another family picture!!

These are some of our friends who came to visit. We meet Joel and Shannon while Jeremy was going to Moody. Joel did his internship with Jeremy at our previous church. The last time we saw them they were a family of 3, they had just had their first baby and we just had Makayla. It was so good to see them we had a great time catching up!! They have such a cute family! The kids are all pretty close in age so they had a blast playing with each other! Hopefully we will see them again soon before another 6 years pass by!

The girls also had fun tubing this time....

We had a great time!! Our friends have been very generous in offering us their house to stay at every year after Jeremy gets back from his missions trip. This is our second year being able to go and we have really enjoyed our time there. It truly is a blessing that we are able to get away and take that time for ourselves!

Looks like you guys had a super vacation. Some day I'm going to plan a RELAXING vacation. Not till after D. C. though. :)

Love all the pics, especially the one of Marissa and Makayla on the rafts! Even like the un-matching shots. :)
