An Early Birthday Treat!

Image
This weekend we surprised the girls and met Grammy and Aunt Duffy nearby to spend the day shopping and celebrating Makayla's birthday. We had told the girls that we were surprising them and not telling them what we were doing for the day.....so when we pulled up to Sam's Club they did not understand how this was going to be much fun. When we walked into Sam's Club we were greeted by Grammy and Aunt Duffy, all of a sudden their frowns were turned upside down into great big smiles! While we were at the Mall we got to see the Easter Bunny so we stopped and took a quick picture with him! In our house when the girls turn 7 they get to have their ears pierced. So we decided while we were at the mall we would have Makayla get her ears pierced even though she doesn't turn 7 for another week. BEFORE...... She did a great job and didn't even have one tear in her eye. Of course this is my girl who is constantly saying, "I'm Okay"!!! AFTER...... There she is with...

Missing teeth

Image
Last month Marissa lost another tooth. The tooth was so wiggly that I thought it would just fall out but she did not want anyone to touch it, she was afraid it would hurt. So finally, after at least an hour later, she mustard up enough courage to try and pull it out by herself and she did! Of course, I forgot to take a picture of her after her tooth came out. The funny thing was......when the "tooth fairy" went into her room to get her tooth and leave a dollar.....the tooth pillow where she puts her tooth was MISSING!!!! We, I mean the "tooth fairies" had to look high and low and all around to find it. Luckily I, I mean the "tooth fairy" found it. She was pretty surprised to see that the tooth fairy had found it in the morning. So fast forward to this month, this time it is Makayla who looses a tooth. She was a little braver, but was still a little nervous about loosing her tooth. In fact she went to school with her wiggly tooth hoping it would co...

Love you whole bunches

Yesterday while Myah and I were waiting in the van for the girls to come out of school she said to me, "Mommy I love you whole bunches and Daddy whole bunches and sissies a little". I said you do, well I love you whole bunches too, but why do you only love your sissies a little? She said, "because sometimes they are bossy". I have laughed about that several times since then, but I got to thinking, what if my Heavenly Father loved me according to what I deserved. I am so glad that He does not say, Sheila today I only love you a little because you are complaining a lot and being a little selfish. He loves me on my good days and my bad days. I am so thankful that His love is perfect even when I am not!

Grandparents Day at School

Image
Makayla was pretty excited to have all of her grandparents at school with her for Grandparents Day last week. The kids did circus acts for the grandparents in the gym. Makayla's class were the clowns and Makayla got to juggle. Here are the jugglers...... After they were finished with their circus, the grandparents got to go back to the classroom so each of the kids could read to their grandparents. Thank you for making Makayla's day so special by coming to out to be with her!!!
