Trick or treat

Image
Incase you are reading this and are wondering if you missed Halloween, you can rest assure you did not. I think in the 5 years we have lived here, they have only celebrated Halloween on the actual day once, not really sure why they do that, but they do. So tonight we headed out on a perfect night with our good friends the DeGroff's to go trick-or-treating. We headed down our street and realized no one was handing out candy so we headed over to another nearby street. Here's our cheerleader!! Here's our little princess.... Here's dorothy, but where is toto??? Oh....here is toto....... Here they are, waiting and ready to go...... Here are the girls and their friends....... That is just our crew, it was a little crazy at first..... TRICK - OR - TREAT......

Tonight around 7 pm this is what the sky looked like, just thought it was too pretty not to post! I have been enjoying taking more scenery pictures lately, maybe I have gotten some of my inspirations from our good friend over at Crossmark Design .

A day full of work....

I absolutely hate having to switch clothes for the season. This is one job that i absolutely dread. I have to do it for all 5 of us since we do not have much room in our closets. I pack up all 5 of our clothes and put them in bins and then stack them up in the garage. Usually while doing this project i seem to have piles of clothes all throughout the house. I started this project early this morning and I am still not done. So I decided i would share the mess with you all and see if there is any one else out there that hates this job as much as i do.

Day 5

Well there aren't too many pictures from Day 5 because we spent that day driving home in the van. The girls did really good traveling. It ended up taking us 10 hours to get home from my grandparents, but it didn't seem like it was all that long. There were lots of movies, lots of snacks and several potty stops. The girls started getting a little out of sorts towards the end of the trip, so we just stopped at the next rest area and everyone got out and we played tag. I think after we got back in the van the next time i looked 2 of the 3 girls were sleeping. We had a great time with our families and it was really so good to see them all! The girls had a blast and are talking about all their "new" cousins. It is always sad to say good-bye because we know that we don't get to see everyone as much as we would like to. The girls have lots of fun stories that they are still talking about from this trip. We will always hold on to the memories and the pictures and...

Day 4

We were pretty excited to get to go to church with my Grandma and Grandpa. The funny thing is the very first church Jeremy served at in a youth ministry position, the pastor who was at that church is now the pastor at my grandparents church, talk about a small world. So we were pretty excited about getting to see him too. We all headed to church together, which was really nice to all be together as a family! Then my grandma fixed a big lunch and after church everyone headed back over to the house to eat lunch, it felt like Thanksgiving. It was a busy afternoon but we managed to fit in a few more pictures, a wagon ride/walk out to see the pond and lots more playing. It was a beautiful day and so good to spend with all of our family!

Day 3

On Saturday morning we headed back over to Grandma's house to help her run and errand and then say good-bye. Our time had just flew by, but we really really glad to be able to get there and see her. After leaving her house we headed back to Missouri, this time it was to see my grandparents in Houston. This trip was about a 3 hour trip, which wasn't too bad. It was a very pretty drive. We were really excited to get there. It had been a long time since i had been out to the farm and a even longer time since i had seen my cousins, who now all have kids too. We had a great time there, again our time just flew by. The weather was perfect which was nice so the kids had lots of room to run and play outside with their "new" cousins, as Makayla would say. They all had a blast and it was nice to get to sit and catch up with everyone. The kids also had fun with their new friend the cat. I had been telling the girls that on the farm they have cows, a dog and cats. I didn't re...

Day 2

On Friday we spent the day with Grandma driving around Jonesboro and seeing all sorts of fun stuff. We got to see the first house that Jeremy's parents lived in after they were married. The hospital where Jeremy's dad was born at and where he went to school and then we got to see where Grandma use to work and even got to see the Pepsi factory where Jeremy's Grandpa worked at. The girls got to swim a little bit in the afternoon, but the pool was pretty cold so we didn't stay there too long just enough to be able to show Grandma how well they could swim. Then that night Jeremy's Aunt and cousins came over and we all had supper together. It was a very nice visit!

Day 1

We left Indy around 7am and headed toward Grandma Haws house in Bertrand Missouri. It was about a 5 hour trip. It was so good to see Grandma, which is the girls great great grandmother. After visiting with her we all headed over to Aunt Frances house for a great big lunch, which was delicious! After lunch we got back into the car and headed to Jonesboro Arkansas. That trip was about 2 1/2 hours, which was perfect for the girls to take a little nap. We were all pretty excited to get to Grandmas house. We stopped by the hotel to check in and then headed straight there! That night for dinner we went out for catfish and enjoyed dinner with some family friends of the Browns.

After 5 days, 5 different states and almost 1500 miles, we had a great trip! It was so good to see all of our extended families. The girls did great traveling and the weather was perfect. It was a quick and exhausting trip, but well w orth it. It is definately a trip we will be talking about for a while! After picking Marissa up from school on a Wednesday afternoon, we headed towards Indy to stay with our friends Chris & Vicki. Thanks so much Vicki for letting us come and stay for an quick over night visit. Here is a picture from our stay with them! The kids really enjoy getting together! By the way, we took a total of 400 pictures on our trip....that is why is has taken me so long to put together this blog. So i hope i don't bore you all, but i figured i would break it up by days. So i hope that you enjoy!
