Week with our friends in Indy

Image
While Jeremy was gone, me and the girls headed to Indy to spend some time with my best friend from high school, Vicki and her 2 cutties, Calvin and Emma. We had so much fun and we were able to do so much as you can see. Our week there flew by! Here the kids are taking a little ride down to the pool. We said this was like their first date! On Wednesday night after being at the zoo, we headed over to the water park. After Calvin's swim lessons we ordered pizza and then headed out to the water park. We weren't sure if we were going to be able to go because it looked like it was about to rain, but it was the perfect night to be there. They had free tatoo's for the kids, a magician and balloons, the kids had a blast and by the time we got home they were all ready to crash maybe the ice cold water helped tire them out! How cute are they!! Emma and Myah are only 2months apart, hopefully one day they will be best friends just like their mommies are! On our last night the...

We are back together again!

Jeremy and the gang got back in town on Saturday night from their 10 day missions trip to New Orleans. We were all so glad to have them home safetly! The girls were jumping up and down once they realized that was daddy driving through the parking lot, it was pretty cute to see them so excited for their daddy! They had a great trip and were able to get lots done while they were gone. If you want to follow his blog from the trip you can click here . On their way home Friday, they stopped in Mephis TN to stay the night. While they were there some of Jeremy's family was able to meet the group for dinner at Pancho's. Jeremy really enjoyed getting to see his family. I think the teens all enjoyed getting to meet them too. Pictured below is Jeremy's grandma Dolly Ruth, Jeremy, his Aunt Judy, Aunt Betty and Uncle Henry, and his great-grandma Armintha, who is 96, doesn't she look great! We are so glad that we are all under the same roof again! It is always hard when w...

On Saturday, Jeremy's parents and sister came out to visit with us. We all had a good time!! It was nice to have some company! We headed to Sauder Village to "Explore the crafts" with grammy and grandpa. I think Grandpa could have stayed there all day long. It was fun to see how they did things back in the old days. Here are a few pictures from our time together. Making felt balls...... THe Circus is here

Image
We are trying to keep busy while Jeremy is gone, so on Thursday we headed to the circus with our friends. The kids all had a good time! Although us moms decided this trip could become very expensive. As soon as you hand them your ticket and walk in they have elephant, pony and camel rides for $5 each. Then once you walked in the tent they were selling, popcorn, snowcones, peanuts, drinks, light up toys, balloons and coloring books. Of course, they walk up and down by your seats about a hundred times before the show even starts so the kids are all upset and don't understand why they can't have 1 of each. Even though the kids didn't get 1 of each, i think still enjoyed going to the circus. Waiting for the circus to begin..... Smile...... Why can't we ride the elephant ..... One more pose for the camera .

We took these pictures, since daddy couldn't be there this morning! Makayla standing next to her self-portrait. Makayla and her friend from church. Makayla with her class.

Who's on the diving board?

Image
This is our 3rd summer taking private swim lesssons. The girls did a great job! I couldn't believe that my little miss Myah was jumping off of the diving board and swimming to the ladder. She has no fear. On the last day marissa and makayla had to swim in their clothes, it was a way to teach them what to do if they ever fell in the water with their clothes on. I was so proud of all 3 of the girls, they already know how to swim better than their mom, which was the whole point of taking them to lessons! Here are a few pictures from the pool. Are you ready.... Jump.... She made it!! M akayla treading water

4th of July

Image
It has become a tradition on the 4th of July to go out to our good friend's, Mark and Jane's cottage. There is swimming in the lake, boat rides, burgers on the grill, and lots of fireworks. The guys seem to get a little more daring each year and try and figure out new ways to let the fireworks off, which makes most of us a little nervous, so we are always thankful at the end of the evening when everyone still has all 10 of their fingers left! We are very glad this has become a tradition and we always look forward to going! Incase you are wondering, yes that is a professional firework that Myah is holding, that is the closest that i will let one of my girls get to a firework, a non-lite firework. The girls had fun swimming in the lake! Jeremy, Mark & Jane hanging out on the dock.
